Ohio is the newest state to welcome the growth of hemp and CBD products in the United States. Although often mistaken as the same product, CBD and cannabis are two completely separate products, as CBD has little-to-no psychoactive ingredients obtained in cannabis.
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is found in minimal concentrations in most forms of hemp Sativa and indica but in very high levels in a specific strain of hemp sativa known as hemp. Pure hemp is used primarily for its industrial fibers and for its CBD content. When people speak of purchasing and using CBD, they are not interested in getting “high.” Instead, they are typically using it for its therapeutic benefits.
